disabilities claims clinic & resource fair

****No event scheduled at this time.****

WINC For All Women Veterans hosts an annual Veterans Disability Claims Clinic & Resource Fair.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

  • If you are a Veteran who has questions about your benefits or ratings - please join us! A Legal Administrative Specialist from the Veterans Benefit Administration, and Veteran Service Officers from the American Legion will be onsite to help you file a claim, and answer questions you may have. If you need a DD214, staff from the Michigan Veterans Affairs Agency (MVAA) will be present to process them onsite.

  • Family members and caregivers are also encouraged to attend. You are very important to our Veterans. Come get answers on survivor's benefits, burials, and to learn ways you can continue to help your Veteran.

  • If you are an organization that serves Veterans and their families, we invite you to participate as a Resource Vendor.

This event is FREE and open to ALL era Veterans.

Our first claims event was held in 2022. The turnout was awesome!  In case you missed it, please view a story featured on WZZM TV13 about the event.  https://www.wzzm13.com/article/news/local/veteran-organizations-resource-fair/69-73fdc2f4-d630-4c7f-bb99-965fdd146ef3

MST Retreat

The MST Women Veterans’ Retreat is meant to be an empowering and affirming way to work on issues common to women who have experienced the human impact of a sexual trauma in the military, and are attempting to resume a fulfilling civilian life. It is meant to be a fun and enjoyable experience, and also an opportunity for you to make whatever personal shifts are necessary to recover from the stress of that traumatic event, and move forward into the post-military life that you envision for yourself.

To be eligible, you must have a diagnosis of PTSD related to a MST, and currently be in counseling. If you have a private or VA counselor, you may satisfy this requirement by showing that you have been in at least one counseling session within the last 90 days. What is most important to us is that you are joining the retreat because you have a reason for coming that is personally important to you, and that you are motivated to learn and make shifts in your life. If you sign up and confirm your attendance, we expect you attend as there is a wait list.

Please contact winc@wincrforall.com to indicate your interest in attending a MST Retreat. We unfortunately cannot accept all applicants as we will have a maximum number of attendees, so indicate your interest today so that you can begin the application process.

There is no event scheduled at this time...but stay tuned!

Are you ready to help raise awareness of the over 2 million female veterans in the US? Me too! You can raise awareness by volunteering for a local organization on June 15 each year, walking a 5k, wearing military gear or pink, hosting a rally or forum for women veterans and most importantly, posting on social media with hashtags #2milstrong #wincinpink or #getyourwincon . Let's see those videos and posts!
